This was a very unusual project. I was removing old concrete from the back patio of this old farm house, when I saw a dark hole beside my bobcat. I got out and looked down in it and I could see some water. I very carefully removed the concrete that was over top of it.Then I noticed it had an old limestone cap over it.We lifted the cap off and realized it was an old well. So I got the home owners to look at it to see what they wanted to do, because it was going to be in the middle of their patio. They decided that they want me to rebuild the well and make it an architectural center piece for the patio. I really enjoyed doing this project.
There was an old shed in the back of this property. It was in a very nice neighbor hood.
The shed was an eye sore, not just for the home owners, but for the neighbors to. The home
owners want the new shed to look like their house with a few antique doors and windows.
This was my first she shed. It was fun to build.
This was an old well with a very unsafe cap on top of it. We had a piece of limestone made to cover it and added am antique pump.
This grindstone came from (I think up state NY) it was ordered and delivered to the Vandalia area. We pick it up and installed it on the iron pedestal. The grindstone weighed over 3,000 pounds. We rented a fork lift and put plywood boards down to get it to the back of the yard.
This farm qualified for the Ohio Century Farm. The home owners had the bar and windmill upgraded so every thing worked. We installed the sign from the old house stone foundation
and took the old windmill pump and mounted in the barn.
